Important Information and FAQs

 Important Info:

  • Text 616.723.3236 24 hours before your session to receive your access code. DO NOT leave the lock box open during your session!

  • If you leave cash or check, write your name and session info on the envelope and text me to let me know you left it.

  • Clean up after yourself, and reference the pictures posted by the doors for furniture placement.

  • If the studio does not look like the reference photos when you arrive, or you find damages/messes, please send pictures to 616.723.3236.

  • Send exit photos/video of the space before you leave. Failure to do so results in an automatic $5 charge.

  • Turn off all lights, close any opened windows, refer to info below for heat/AC directions, lock up, and return the keys to the lock box.

    • GR Loft – Turn heat down to 62°, leave AC at 72°

    • Studio Three – Heat will reset automatically, leave AC at 72°

    • Curve Collective - Heat/AC are on a program. The temperature should feel comfortable (though not perfect to everyone’s preference) but please call if it seems excessively warm or cold!

FAQs:

  • I texted for my code but haven’t received it yet - will I get it before my rental?

    To give you some insight on the code process - everyone is asked to text approximately 24 hours before their rental so that I can sit down once or twice a day and make all the codes at one time. When I see a text come in and the preview indicates it's a code request, I ignore it until I can make them so that it still shows as a new message. That helps me to not forget anybody as I receive many messages every day. If you forget or it’s day of and you still haven’t received a code, text ASAP - if it's getting to within hours of your rental, definitely call!

  • Can I go in early/stay late for setup/cleanup?

    No. The time you rent should include setup and cleanup - reset furniture per reference photos, vacuum/sweep any messes, put equipment/props in proper storage areas, set heat/AC per signs, take and send exit photos/video. Please book accordingly.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    You may cancel/modify any appointment until 24 hours before its start time. Due to the high demand of the spaces, within the 24 hour window, you will be responsible for payment regardless of whether or not you use the space. However, you are welcome to attempt to get it filled by another renter!

  • What do I do if the renter before me is still in the studio when my time begins?

    If you are comfortable knocking on the studio door, go for it. If you aren’t, or they don’t answer, call me!

  • Do you provide any equipment?

    Yes! Each studio has strobes with triggers, a ring light, continuous lighting, a backdrop stand, backdrops, newborn posing items, and various extra furniture and props.

  • How much notice do I need to give before a booking/can I book last minute?

    If you have a Bluetooth key, or can reach me for an access code, you are welcome to book last minute! Your best bet to reach me last minute is via a phone call.

  • How do I reach you if I have an urgent need during my rental?

    Definitely call me!

  • How do I turn on the heat in Studio Three?

    The thermostat is located in the storage area containing the extra chairs, on the wall to the left.
